This treatment can also lighten ink to allow for re-tattooing/cover-ups.

Treatment for Melasma and/or Skin Hyperpigmentation :
By primarily targeting the melanin chromophore, instead of water, the PicoSure Pro laser spares damage to surrounding tissues (and reduces side-effects) - this is characterize as Laser-Induced Optical Breakdown (LIOB). This stimulates epidermal repair mechanisms while the picosecond pulse duration photo-acoustic mechanisms also lighten (disperses) unwanted pigment.
